Baby's skin is getting smooth and soft, her gums are rigid, her liver and kidneys are in working order, and her circulation and immune system are basically good to go. Her lungs are the only organs that still need to fully mature, but every day she gets a little closer to breathing on her own.
What a week(end)! My mom, Theresa, and her mom were all in town to celebrate with us. Mom stayed with us and we got all sorts of baby stuff bought! We are feeling so much more prepared after all of the presents from the shower (and a few I bought for myself hehe). It was great to see all of my friends even if I didn't get to talk to everyone very long. My friend Jen threw the shower and all of the decorations, including monkey themed diaper cake, were so cute! Hopefully some pictures will pour in soon and I can add them.
I am still amazed by all of the great things people gave to us in support of starting our little family...can't wait to try them all out. My parents bought us the BOB, woo hoo! Mom and I wen to REI to try them out (I was going to hold out until the 2010 came out but they said I would have to wait until fall....no thanks). I got the chocolate and blue colored one and its GREAT. I really want to take it out for a walk but I guess I can wait until I have something to put in it.
We also got our Car Seat, lots of clothes, bathing supplies, diapering supplies, sleeping supplies, etc. Everyone was so generous and this kid is spoiled rotten already!
A few photos from the shower are up but she might have been too distracted to take many photos :)View Photos!
Here are my 36 week photos (plus 1 day...taken after the shower).

Oh and Jack was a little tired after being locked in various rooms with lots of commotion...hard day for a cat, but he got a new toy so all is well (the yellow thing hiding underneath him)
