Week 28 - Eggplant + HOUSE!

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are mature enough that, if born right now, she has a pretty good chance of surviving (with help from medical technology). Her skin is still pretty wrinkly (one byproduct of living in amniotic fluid) but will smoothen as fat continues to deposit.

I had another appointment today and got some questions answered! The Dr. had no idea about how many people are allowed to visit in the hospital but said she always sees multiple visitors as long as there are no children under the age of 12 (not allowed). So that made my feel better :) Also she said its actually better we signed up for the weekend class because the 6-week one just gets too long.

Also she said birth plans are "whatever". Things go pretty standard and if you feel strongly about something then tell the nurses and they will respect your wishes unless its medically necessary. So I will probably just do some research and have some ideas jotted down about my preferences and not worry about it after that.

Well, we officially closed escrow, got our keys, and brought a carload over to our new house! We are so excited to move (the cats are NOT) but we are slowly getting things boxed and move. We figure a few boxes a day will help out since I can't really lift anything. Fun stuff! Since it is a special occasion I surprised Jordan with our usually "special occasion treat" a.k.a. a bottle of Vouve. We had a nice treat of sitting on the floor with our champagne and just enjoying our new house! We have lots of work to do over the next few weeks but can't wait to get started! I will devote a post to the "before" pictures once I take them tomorrow!

Nothing much new in the world of pregnancy. I have a sore back all of the time but mostly at night. I know this will just get worse so I am trying to ignore that it is there now. It is like a pinched nerve in my lower left back. Also sometimes it feels like I have shin splints. I asked the Dr. and she wasn't concerned but it looks a little swollen. I guess these are just things to deal with, but nothing unbearable so I am happy for now! I can't believe I am in the 3rd trimester and have 12 weeks until little Thor is expected to make his appearance! I also start my two-week appointments from here on out and go to one-week appointments at 36 weeks. Yikes! Hope you guys have a great week!

Here is a snow picture just for fun :)
