Good news, no Thrush (that we know of right now). Well by no thrush I mean pedi said Noah doesn't have symptoms and the OB wouldn't see me and told me I just need to toughen up and im a new mom that doesn't know how to breastfeed yet. (I was really thrilled with their response, can't you tell?).
Either way, after my pumping vacation - aka giving myself a rest - I put him back on today without too much pain. We will see how the rest of the day goes! Thinking optimistic/determined thoughts... :)
He is 21 inches (up 1.5 from birth) and 7lb 4 oz (down from birth but up from Thursday!) The doctor said he looks perfect and things he will be packing on the pounds soon. Sidenote...I love our pediatrician! Very glad we picked him.
PS still supplementing....which is fine. I pump out enough to do 1oz milk 1oz formula for the bottles most of the time...not always a one to one ratio though. Still working on that problem! The doctor today said he is all in support of breastfeeding, but only if it works out for you. If you are so stressed and in pain and are not enjoying being with your child, worse things have happened than giving your him formula! I am not there yet...but it was nice to hear that perspective.
