30 Weeks

30 Weeks

3/4 of the way through pregnancy!  Not much new to report.  I feel pretty great except back pain.  It usually hits in the evenings after I have been sitting at a desk all day and then picking up Noah for a few hours.  My doctor said I could try chiro or the heat patch stickies you can put on.  I will see how bad it gets, definitely worse than with Noah though!  He told me to avoid things that hurt my back...I told him I have a 2 year old and he said ok your next best bet is to give birth ;-)  I scored a 94 on my glucose screening meaning no gestational diabetes for me, woo hooo!  I guess they get concerned at 130...so I am WAY in the clear!

I found out I get another ultrasound (very unexpected!).  At 34 weeks he said he does a growth check/position check just to see if she is measuring on track and to determine how long he lets you go past your due date.  He will also check to see if she is breech, so he can monitor that.  Exciting that we get another one, but sad that Jordan will be out of town for it.  Oh well.  I was also pleasantly surprised at my weight gain.  I have gained less than I had at this point last pregnancy, which makes me extremely happy.  Probably has something to do with me start out out of shape instead of starting out having just climbed a mountain.  Tradeoffs ;-)  I tend to gain at the end so I feel like I actually have the room to do so now, which is great.  I celebrated but going to Chipotle for lunch, mmmm.

 29 Weeks
Noah is a doll and learning to talk a lot more.  He has some 2 year old moments but nothing too crazy yet.  Daycare says he is perfect and has NO Terrible Two behavior, but I guess he uses all of his perfection there and brings it home for us!  He is a fun little guy that is becoming more independent and dependent at the same time.  He likes to pick his clothes (today he dressed himself as the UPS man in all brown including a brown hat) and do most things himself, but has gotten extra clingy as I get "bigger".  He goes through random phases of me having to do something and only me.  This week, Jordan is no longer allowed to feed him breakfast.  He has to sit in my lap on the bed and have me feed it to him.  He has had Jordan feed him his packet and yogurt (still in bed...bad parents...lazy parents) for the last year!  Oh well.  He gives kisses and hugs to make up for it.  I officially have to be the one to get anything food related for him. And I have to do it with him, holding him (ahem...back pain mentioned above).  He is fun though and loves his Fridays at home with mommy :-)
