I'm Baaaaack....with Baby #2!

I took a blogging break. Now onto the goods...

Baby #2 is due August 1st! I have had two ultrasounds so far but pictures are horrible and not worth posting...but its confirmed! I am 12 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow (Wednesday). I am tired and don't feel like making sure my blog "reads" well...so it is going to be a horribly boring text filled post. Sorry in advance! Here are some highlights:

I found out over Thanksgiving...which stopped my wine intake immediately (sad face) but we got to share the news with my parents since we were up in Seattle. Lets be honest folks...there is no hiding it...the second I don't have a glass of wine in my hand in the evening its over...dead giveaway. I decided that maybe I need a new image if that is my immediate giveaway ;-) People started to figure me out/I would tell them slowly at work over the next few weeks and then I told all of the rest of the family over the holidays when they were here to visit. After my second ultrasound last week I came out for real :-)

I had to go in for my first ultrasound at 7 weeks...I kept spotting and they finally listened to me call enough that they brought me in to shut me up (joking). I got an ultrasound and saw [one] healthy little heartbeat, and I was on my way...after a few days of fab insurance issues :-) So yah, 7 week ultrasound pictures look like blobs. My regularly scheduled appointment was at 11 weeks so I got to go in again and get another ultrasound. They did the external ultrasound (on your stomach) and the baby is so small that the resolution was not that great. Plus the nurse said the baby was moving so much she couldn't more than a blob picture. Baby #2 is just like Noah already...he was always going crazy in there!!

I decided to switch OBs for this pregnancy and I have already noticed a VAST improvement. I like this one so much more already and have not even met the doctor! Examples: they listened to me and let me come in when I was concerned. They refilled my inhaler prescription same day without having originally prescribed it and told me I could use it...my last OB told me I needed to ask my PCP for an inhaler and that I shouldn't be using it (but I disobeyed because I like breathing). They told me to drink my cup of coffee if I have a headache. They made fun of Jordan for not coming to the second kid's appointments (jokingly). I have seen the same NP twice, she remembered me, and I have another appointment with her. Anyway...they are much better and I am so happy I switched!

So far I feel horrible at night but am OK during the day if I keep having snacks every few hours. I have to force myself to eat dinner, but regardless I feel sick. I haven't been throwing up as much the last few weeks so at least that is an improvement. I also go to bed at 8:30pm. Every night. I don't necessarily fall asleep..but I go to bed at least. One night I stayed up until 10 to watch some shows and ended up throwing up because my body was pissed. Either way, in a few weeks I will have more energy and stop feeling sick (hopefully). All in all, doing pretty well. :-) That is my mind dump for now...I will try to update more regularly!

Oh one more thing...Jordan's little sister Tessa is pregnant and due the EXACT SAME DAY! How incredibly AWESOME is that!?! I think its pretty neat, cant wait to see how our pregnancies progress and when we have the little cousins :-D

How far along? 11 weeks 6 days
Total weight gain/loss: +3 lbs as of a week ago
Sleep: hmm about 7-8 hours all together. I wake up at least once to pee, or sneeze, or move the cat, etc. (wah, wah, wah, I know)
Best moment this week: getting a massage...not supposed to until 2nd tri...I am a rebel :-)
Movement: nothing yet but thinking I will in the next few weeks
Symptoms: tired, headaches, nausea, lower back pain, horrible allergies (not too bad, eh?)
Symptoms I DON'T have: hmmm...labor? I can't really see anything missing off my list above.
Food cravings: nothing yet
Food aversions: carne asada tacos and all meat in general
Gender: absolutely NO clue. I "knew" Noah was a boy...but I have no thoughts either way this time!
Labor Signs: none yet, lets keep it that way
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: wine and energy
What I am looking forward to: 2nd tri energy and lack of nausea, looking pregnant instead of like I ate too many cookies at Christmas haha
Weekly Wisdom: don't stay up late watching tv :-)
Milestones: seeing the heartbeat and crazy movement on the ultrasound

And some goods of my little man!! Love that hair!
