I know no one will know about this for a few weeks yet, but I thought I would start documenting it now anyway!
Yesterday we found out we were pregnant! I took a test yesterday before we went to the Del Mar Fairgrounds with some friends and had every intention of having to wait three minutes to know. Before I even set it down to wait I saw two lines!! I ran in to Jordan to tell him :-)
We don't plan on telling anyone for a while. For our friends we at least want to hear the heartbeat first (maybe a few exceptions that ask why I am not drinking). I hope to wait until my parents come visit in August to tell them but who knows if I can wait that long!!
Our camera is in for repairs right now so I went and bought a disposable to take a few photos. I will have to wait a few weeks to add them I guess. As far as I can tell until it is confirmed, I am due April 2, 2010. So for now, I have a poppy seed inside of me!
In week 4, now safe in your womb, the ball of cells (blastocyst) splits in two, becoming the embryo and the placenta. The amniotic sac and fluid are forming around baby, and will act as a cushion for the next eight months.
